Australian Open: Men’s singles final will be between Medvedev and Sinner, know why Daniil is being compared to Federer

Medvedev defeated Alexander Zverev 7–5, 6–3, 6–7, 6–7, 3–6 in the other semi-final. Medvedev has been runner-up twice in the Australian Open.

The final of the Australian Open men’s singles category will be played here on Sunday between Italy’s Yannick Sinner and Russia’s Daniil Medvedev. Sinner entered the title match by defeating 10-time champion Novak Djokovic of Serbia 6-1, 6-2, 6-7, 6-3 in the semi-finals on Friday. Medvedev defeated Alexander Zverev 7–5, 6–3, 6–7, 6–7, 3–6 in the other semi-final. Medvedev has been runner-up twice in the Australian Open.
Medvedev has won the US Open in 2021 and has reached the final of a Grand Slam for the sixth time. On the other hand, Sinner, who is participating in a Grand Slam for the 17th time, is the first Italian player to reach the singles final of the Australian Open. He is being compared to Federer who never reached the semi-finals in his first 16 Grand Slams and then won his first Grand Slam at Wimbledon.
